Shilajit Side Effects:
While it is a natural ingredient, raw or unprocessed Shilajit is unsafe to consume because the raw form may contain contaminants, fungus, and heavy metals.
If you are interested in buying it, be sure to only buy refined (processed) Shilajit or Shilajit-based products. Products which are FDA-approved can represent the standard of quality you should consider.
Those with Hemochromatosis, Sickle cell anaemia, or Thalassemia should also avoid taking this substance. Additionally, if you end up developing a rash, dizziness, or elevated heart rate, stop taking it immediately.
Those taking Uric acid-lowering drugs should also be careful when taking this because it may impact your Uric acid levels. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should also avoid it because of insufficient scientific evidence.
We recommend you talk to your doctor before using Shilajit or Shilajit-based products.
How To Find The Best Shilajit Products:
- Look for the purity of the Shilajit used. Donât get anything that makes use of raw or unprocessed substance.
- Find out where the product was manufactured. Find out whether it was manufactured in a GMP-certified facility.
- See if the product is FDA-approved. Has the FDA tested and approved it for human consumption? This one is important as most supplements donât get FDA tested, bringing their quality in question.
- Find out the other ingredients in the product and the concentration of this substance within.
These points should help weed out the subpar products and allow you to make a more informed decision.
