Understanding of Headache
Headaches and migraines are the most common, yet insufferable forms of pain, which can affect our day-to-day lives. And, with our busy schedules and deadlines, we mask the pain with headache medicine, which is certainly not good in the long run. The pounding in your head caused by a headache or the piercing pain caused by migraine are indicators that your body is probably missing something, or you are in dire need of a short break. So, if the pain is visiting you regularly, it is time you booked an online doctor consultation.
Why? Because the headaches and migraines are probably the results of a vitamin or a nutrient deficiency. Also, headaches and migraines are triggered by stress, anxiety, allergies, eyestrain, poor posture, consuming too much alcohol, low blood sugar, hormones, and constipation. Hence, whenever you experience this pain, take a second because your body is trying to tell you something. With a few lifestyle changes and healthy home remedies, your headache will be a thing of the past.
Relief from a Migraine
A migraine is a severe headache, which is sometimes accompanied by nausea and sensitivity towards light and sound. Below tips will help you overcome these migraine pains easily.
1. A peaceful environment
Whenever you notice the first indications of a migraine, take a break from whatever that is you are doing. Find a secluded room and turn off the lights. If it is possible to lay down or else sit in a comfortable position. Now, apply either cold compress (it will dull the sensations of pain) or the hot compress (it will relax the muscles reducing the pain). Also, caffeine, if consumed in small amounts at the first sign of a migraine can reduce the pain.
2. Ayurveda
A migraine is not a regular headache. Hence, to get rid of it permanently, turn to Ayurved. Here, this condition will be removed from its roots and will not make a comeback. The Ayurvedic products are free of any side-effects and are all natural. Also, with the increasing popularity of Ayurved, you can buy almost all Ayurvedic products through online Ayurvedic stores. Buy Pain relief balm from Dr Vaidya’s and say goodbye to a headache forever.
3. Sleep and Eat well
When you deviate from a healthy routine, the migraine will come creeping in. So, make sure you sleep for at least 6-8 hours. Go to bed at the same time every day and if you must take a mid-noon nap, don’t extend it more than 20 minutes. Always relax after a long day. All the stress that builds up during the day needs an outlet. Listen to your favourite music, take a soothing bath, read a book, meditate, etc. And remember, don’t try too hard to fall asleep, it is futile. You need to relax and close your eyes, sleep will automatically come to you. When it comes to your eating habits, firstly, never skip a meal. Avoid foods that trigger a migraine. You can also practice writing a food journal for the same reason. You can also include migraine medicine with your regular meals or before your bedtime. They are easily available in medical stores or online Ayurvedic stores.
