Nirgundi Joint Guard is an Ayurvedic pain relief oil for muscular and joint pain. It is a unique blend of Til or sesame oil, Castor oil, and Sarson or mustard oil, fortified with Nirgundi extract.
Nirgundi is a well-known Vata pacifying herb. It has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties that help in joint inflammation, swelling, and pain. This Ayurvedic medicine for pain relief has an antioxidant action that helps protect joints from free radicals. Regular application of Nirgundi Joint Guard Oil on the affected areas relieves chronic joint pain and muscle soreness. Nirgundi Joint Guard comprises of 4 different herbs as follows –
Nirgundi in Sanskrit means ‘the one which protects the body from ailments’. This herb has been used for the treatment of a wide spectrum of health disorders in the Ayurvedic system of medicine. It is a powerful Vata shamak herb and is known to offer relief from various types of pains including joint pain. It is reported to have multifarious activities such as pain relieving, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, tonic properties. These help in effectively reducing joint pain, swelling and may also slow down joint destruction.
- Til Oil:
This multipurpose oil is obtained from the seeds of Til (Sesamum indicum) and is considered best among all vegetable oils in Ayurveda. This light golden coloured oil with a pleasant aroma is used both externally and internally to treat various ailments. Ayurveda has described Til Oil as the best Vata shamak and therefore, many medicated oils have Til Oil as a base. It is rich in several phenolic compounds that give it its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Massage with sesame oil significantly reduces pain, reduces oxidative stress causing tissue damage, helps in the healing of wounds.
