Dr. Vaidya’s Triphala Juice is an excellent choice for anyone looking to add a healthy nourishing natural beverage to their diet for digestive, immune, and hair care benefits. Made exclusively with natural ingredients, our Triphala Juice contains three herbal ingredients in adherence to the classical Ayurvedic formulation – amalaka or amla, harda or haritaki, and baheda or bibhitaki. Botanically termed as Emblica officinalis, Terminalia chebula, and Terminalia bellerica respectively, the triphala formulation is one of Ayurveda’s most popular products along with chyawanprash. All of the herbs in the formulation are proven to exhibit wide ranging health benefits, but its most notable uses are as a gastrointestinal and rejuvenative supplement.
Individually, each of these herbs is loaded with nutrients and phytochemicals, but the blend is even more potent. Amla is regarded as the richest natural source of vitamin C, which works as a potent antioxidant that also supports immunity. In addition, it contains a variety of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phytochemicals like gallic acid, ellagic acid, and corilagin to name a few. Similarly, harda is a good source of vitamin C, minerals like selenium and manganese, and it also has a rich concentration of phytochemicals including polyphenols, terpenes, anthocyanins, flavonoids, alkaloids and glycosides. The nutritional and phytochemical profile of bhibitaki is very similar to harda, containing tannins, ellagic acid, gallic acid, lignans and flavones, as well as other organic compounds. The kernels are also known to contain a good amount of fatty acids and protein. In the triphala formulation, the three herbs work together, packing quite a powerful punch.
