Kamal (Nelumbo nucifera) is India’s national flower, also known as Indian Lotus or Fox Nuts.  Kamal Gota (or Kamal gatta) are the Lotus Seeds. It’s known as Makhana in Hindi, kuṟukkan naṭṭ in Malayalam, and Phāks naṭ in Telugu.
